"Just a Wee Bit" Bison and Salmon Small Breed Formula TM  This new Solid Gold formula,
with Bison and Salmon, has a protein of 28% and a fat of 18% to meet
the high energy needs of small breed adult dogs or those dogs that will
be 20 pounds or less as adults. Just A Wee Bit is a great alternative for the dog that can no longer tolerate lamb, beef or poultry. Our non-allergic grains are certified organic, free of pesticides. We use barley to support the respiratory system, amaranth for stamina, millet for a sense of well being, and whole grain brown rice instead of white rice. White rice is missing 75% of its essential nutrients and is only a filler. Some of the allergy causing ingredients found in other pet foods are gluten, soy/lecithin, wheat, corn or sunflower oil. We use only flaxseed and canola oils which are rich in the essential omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. We never use animal/poultry fats, which contribute to heart disease. Oils are liquid at room temperature. However, since there is no category for oils in the ingredient listings, we must say our oils are fats, eventhough we use no fats. Animal fats melt at 120 degrees, but dogs temperatures never get up to 120 degrees. Therefore, harmful fats stay in the lining of the body. Millet, Brown Rice, Cracked Pearled Barley - Complex carbohydrates for energy, also good sources of dietary fiber. Barley is also thought to help enhance the color of white-coated dogs.
