at optimum levels promote growth, health, stamina, reproductive ability, disease resistance, detoxification and longevity. Given the absolute importance to health of adequate vitamins and minerals in the diet, the question is, do dogs and cats eating BARF require extra supplementation? A properly formulated BARF diet will contain an abundance of vitamins and minerals, which will be delivered in a biologically appropriate form and should therefore not need to be supplemented.
However, food grown on poor quality soils, harvested before ripe and transported long distances, may have lower levels of vitamins and minerals than expected. In addition, some animals with specific needs, in particular life stages, or suffering particular health problems, may need supplementation of vitamins or possibly minerals, over and above the basic BARF diet.

BARFPlus contains a mixture of the finest ingredients including pesticide free grain grasses, natural vegetables, freeze-dried probiotics and full spectrum enzymes. Every ingredient must meet rigid standards for purity.

Dr. Billinghurst's Certified Organic Icelandic Kelp Powder
Dr. Billinghurst's Organic Icelandic Kelp is harvested from the clean, mineral rich waters of Iceland's fjords from the Ascophyllum seaplant beds. Within hours, the kelp is fresh dried at controlled, low temperatures with a specialized drying system. This process seals in essential nutrients and eliminates oxidation, producing the world's finest minerals.
Kelp is a valuable source of source of A, B-1, B-2, B-3, B-12, C, E, G, S, calcium, chlorine, copper, iodine, iron, lithium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, silicon, sulfur, zinc, chromium, cobalt, manganese, niacin, riboflavin, sodium, thiamine. Dr. Billinghurst's Certified Organic Dried Alfalfa Powder
The alfalfa used in Dr. Billinghurst's Alfalfa Powder is cut at the early flowering stage to ensure the retention of nutrients. After processing, the alfalfa is transferred to storage where temperature monitoring is constantly conducted. Laboratory analysis is performed during processing and storage to ensure product quality.
Alfalfa is one of the most nutritious land foods known, containing all eight of the amino Acids, Beta Carotene, Biotin, Lysine, Tryptophan, A, B-2, B-3, B-5, B-6, B-9, B-12, B-complex, C, E, G, K, U, P, enzymes, aluminum, chlorophyll, calcium, chlorine, sodium, fluorine, iron, magnesium, potassium, silicone, sulfur, phosphorus, trace minerals. Our Triple Fish Body Oil with Salmon & Evening Primrose Oil provides a healthy blend of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. EPA and DHA from fish oil are precursors to the beneficial Series 3 prostaglandins which regulate blood pressure and blood platelets, water retention and immune function. DHA is important for the brain, nerves, vision and hearing, adrenal function, and reproductive health. This product is a rich source of Vitamins A & D together with Omega 3 essential fatty acids, EPA an DHA. The anti-inflammatory action of the Omega 3 EFA's together with the beneficial action of Vitamin A on skin, immunity and all mucous membranes and Vitamin D on bone and dental health make this supplemet one which should be given regularly to most dogs and cats. Recommended dosages must be adhere to and it should not be given during pregnancy except on veterinary advice.
